The Trinidad and Tobago National Dragon Boat Team a contingent of 92 athletes left the shores of T&T to take part in the World National Dragon Boat Championships in Tampa Florida . on July 28th, 2011. The event is carded to take place on the Sheddon Channel in Tampa Florida between August 1st - 7th both starting and culminating with massive ceremonies equivalent to that of the Olympics. Trinidad and Tobago will be competing against teams from all around the world and will be competing in the under 23, premier open, mixed and over 40 categories. This event is precluded by the very first Pan American Dragon Boat Championships in which two local teams will be participating Excellent Stores Titans and GHL Oarstruck. The Trinidad and Tobago Dragon Boat Federation would like to extend good luck, Godspeed and a safe return home to all representative teams.
