The Trinidad and Tobago Dragon Boat Federation along with seventy two other Federations around the world are preparing for the 11th IDBF World National Championships to be held in Hungary July 2013.

Our athletes are hard at work in preparation, but here are some items that you may not be aware of regarding the championships.  


  • The mascot is a dragon called Simi.

Organized by the Tobago House of Assembly in conjunction with the Trinidad and Tobago Dragon Boat Federation, the Pigeon Point Dragon Boat Festival fully dominated the Heritage Park with spectators, supporters and 25 competing teams for a full two day event. The Trinidad and Tobago National Dragon Boat Team a contingent of 92 athletes left the shores of T&T to take part in the World National Dragon Boat Championships in Tampa Florida . on July 28th, 2011. Pigeon Point Dragon Boat Regatta

The Pigeon Point Heritage Park will come alive this coming Labour Day weekend when the Division of Transport and Tourism in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Dragon Boat Federation will be holding the inaugural Pigeon Point Dragon Boat Festival.
